Did you plan a ballet, an opera or something else in the Bolshoi theatre or in the Kremlin concert hall? Are you looking for a nice, typical restaurant in the neighborhood?
I was last week in this situation and my friends made a reservation in the Korchma Taras Bulba at Mokhovaya Street. I was happy because I would go to it some years ago but my husband was not so enthousiastic that time and I can ‘t remember why. I had found it on Tripadvisor.
This is a typical Ukrainian restaurant and the staff is serving you in their traditional dress. Of course this is a touristic restaurant but you can eat relatively cheap and the food is good. They offer a wide range of typical food, the menu is available in English. They have several restaurants in Moscow.
My Moscow friends where not so happy with the dishes they ordered, some of them had no taste they told me. I couldn’t complain and that means something because I’m always eating in restaurants all over the world and often in the same group of hotels who offer the same food…..
When I look to the reviews on Tripadvisor, the score for this restaurant is 4,5/5 on 668 reviews, 84% rate it as excellent and very good. It is open 24h/24h, you can also order takeaway.
The distance to the Bolshoi-theatre is 2km and 26 minutes walk,
the Kremlin concert hall is at 1,1km and 14 minutes walk
